What People Say

"Arkel can sound sanctimonious, but Christopher Foster made him affectionate and compassionate; rather than intoning, he brought conversational eloquence to his lines." Impressions de Pélleas, Opera on the MoveOpera Magazine. Yehuda Shapiro

"A high spot [was] the gorgeous, rich bass of Christopher Foster in The Trumpet Shall Sound."
Handel Messiah: Newbury Chamber Choir, St John's Church

"This was an intriguing, occasionally humorous and very moving concert which closed the festival in a fitting dazzle."
English Music Festival in Yorkshire, English Song recital, closing concert.

"Christopher Foster, bass, in his solo Mors Stupebit left us in no doubt that grim death was nigh.  Also, his contribution to the trio Lux Aeterna was gorgeously resonant and fruity."
Verdi Requiem: Benson Choral Society, Dorchester Abbey.
